One Way Vehicle Rental
Not every trip finish at the beginning. At times you may wish to travel from A to B without wanting to return to the initial spot to return the rented car. Through SDVH’s one-way car rental, this is achievable. Rent a car in a certain UK location and return it at your final stop.
Such an option simplifies your travel by avoiding extra rental periods. Instead of driving the car back to the initial rental depot, save costs by returning it to a local depot or allowing our staff pick it up from your endpoint. Remember that this one-way hire is offered exclusively on UK mainland and comes with an extra charge. Always specify your final location and collection date while booking.
Insurance Is Included
Despite your topmost care and driving skills, accidents may happen, leading to damage to the car and to the individuals inside. This is why, every car rented from SDVH is provided with comprehensive insurance, which covers small damages to the car and every passenger travelling in it. We integrate this insurance coverage in the car rental cost, ensuring there are no hidden fees.
We also offer a Collision Damage Waiver for added protection, which lowers your financial responsibility for any serious damage to the car. As you place a booking, our team members will tell you about the entire cost of the car hire, including all insurance options.
Company Own Insurance - 10%
We understand that not all customers demand comprehensive rental car insurance. If you’re already protected by your business policy, there’s no need for us to give extra coverage and we think it’s not right to charge you the same as everybody without insurance. Therefore if you already have insurance, we offer a 10% discount on each of car rentals.
This makes SDVH’s car rentals cheaper and also is accompanied with our other rental perks. Do remember to tell our representatives about your existing insurance while booking a car hire to claim this discount.

What To Do In Weybridge
Weybridge sits beside the Thames, between the A3 and M25, with quiet roads leading in past parks, houses and the old Brooklands racing circuit. Despite its lower population of just 15,000, it’s a town known for its transport history—home to the Brooklands Museum and Mercedes-Benz World—but there’s more beyond the engines, from riverside walks to neighbourhood cafés.
The weather is often mixed. Spring is a good time to visit, when the trees begin to bud and Churchfields Meadow starts to turn green. Summer brings longer days and open cafés, though the riverside can still feel cool. While driving in from Addlestone, the greenery comes as a surprise. It’s also a regular detour for visitors from Chertsey looking for a slower pace and a change of scene.
Attractions In Weybridge
Weybridge is the kind of place where a walk around the block turns up more than you’d expect—a hidden footpath, a retired aircraft or a patch of meadow in the middle of town. It mixes local parks and historic stops in a way that feels easy and familiar.
Brooklands Museum
On Brooklands Drive, the former motor racing circuit is now home to a museum packed with vintage aircraft, racing cars and even a Concorde. We climbed inside one of the planes and watched a simulation of take-off—surprisingly good fun. Open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Mercedes-Benz World
A few steps away, Mercedes-Benz World offers something more modern. You can try driving simulators, watch test track demonstrations or just explore the exhibition floor. Great for kids too. Open Monday to Saturday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Sundays until 5:00 pm.
London Bus Museum
Tucked inside the Brooklands site, this smaller museum takes you through the story of the London bus. There’s something very satisfying about seeing them lined up, from early models to the Routemaster. A popular stop for transport enthusiasts coming from Shepperton, it’s a good complement to the larger exhibits next door. Open daily, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (11:00 am start on Mondays).
National Trust – River Wey & Godalming Navigations
By Thames Lock off Jessamy Road, the towpath begins. This stretch of the River Wey is peaceful and low-key—ideal for walking, cycling or just watching narrowboats drift past. Open all day and night for pedestrians.
Brooklands Community Park
Just off Barnes Wallis Drive, this is one of Weybridge’s better family parks. We saw kids racing remote-control cars while others played near the trees. There’s open space to spare. Open daily from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
The York Column
On Monument Green stands a stone column dedicated to Prince Frederick, Duke of York. It’s easy to overlook if you’re rushing between shops but the history behind it adds depth to this quiet patch of green. We took a few minutes to read the plaque and watch the world go by—it’s a good spot for a pause with a takeaway coffee.
Churchfields Meadow
Tucked behind Churchfields Avenue, this meadow feels surprisingly rural. The grass is left to grow wild in parts, attracting birds and butterflies in spring. We followed a faint trail along the treeline and found a couple of benches that looked out over the open field—no signs, no fuss, just a simple place to step away from the town.
Churchfields Recreation Ground
Nearby on Parkside Court, this park has a playground, tennis courts and hosts the occasional community event. During one visit, we caught the Weybridge Festival—live music, food stalls and plenty of families. Open all hours.
Riverside Weybridge
Head down Walton Lane towards Desborough Lodge for a quieter stretch of the river. It’s not signposted clearly but the views across the water are worth it. During a visit to Walton On Thames, we made a detour here and didn’t regret it.
Painshill
A short trip from Cobham, Painshill is an 18th-century landscape garden with lakes, follies and curved bridges. Not technically in Weybridge but often paired with it. Open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Garden Of Memories
At the back of the seating gardens off Hanger Hill, this quiet memorial is barely marked but thoughtfully kept. A few stone plaques, a tree or two and the hum of passing cars just beyond the hedge. We saw someone leave flowers—clearly still a meaningful place to some. It’s small but still worth finding.
Elmbridge Museum
Though based in Esher, this museum is run by the borough and gives a deeper look into the area’s history. Exhibits are modest but well-presented.
New Haw Lock
On the edge of town, near West Byfleet, this lock sits where the Wey meets other canal routes. A solid stop for walkers or cyclists. Open all hours.
Historic Ancient Oak
Close to Hersham, this centuries-old oak is tucked inside a housing estate. Access varies but its size and shape are striking even from the path.
High Street Finds And Riverside Pace
Weybridge’s high street has a mix of practical shops and easygoing cafés, with a few well-kept pubs on the edges. You’ll find quiet B&Bs, a handful of business hotels and a scattering of apartments near Brooklands. It’s a town that doesn’t rush and doesn’t need to. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve seen just enough, yet curious to return.
