One Way Vehicle Rental

Travels don’t always conclude at their starting point. From time to time you might want to travel from A to B without wanting to go back to return the hired vehicle. With SDVH’s one-way car rental, this is possible. Secure a car in a particular UK area and return it at your endpoint.

What To Do In Camberley

Camberley doesn’t try to steal the spotlight but its blend of woodland walks, community spirit and military heritage makes it quietly memorable for a town of 37,000 people. Tucked in the north-west of Surrey, not far from the Hampshire border, it’s easy to reach by road—especially via the M3 or the A331. Though it’s not known for extreme weather, the climate here can be changeable, so pack layers and something waterproof, even in summer.

The best time to visit tends to be from late spring through early autumn, when the parks are in bloom and the days stretch out. While Camberley isn’t one for big festivals or loud events, it does have the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst just beyond its borders—adding a historic edge to an otherwise laid-back town. We planned a day trip from Frimley and stopped off in Bagshot on the way, giving us the perfect excuse to slow down and explore.

Attractions In Camberley

A few teens wander into a trampoline centre, laughing before they’ve even got inside. The town doesn’t funnel you in one direction—its parks, nature reserves and activity spots are scattered, each offering its own pace.

Frimley Lodge Park

This large green space near Sturt Road offers open fields, woodlands and plenty of room for families, cyclists or anyone needing a break from screens. We took a leisurely walk before settling on a bench near the café. There’s even a miniature railway tucked within the park that runs on Sundays and some Wednesdays, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm—a great surprise if you’re travelling with children.

Jump In Adventure & Trampoline Park

Admiralty Way hides one of the liveliest spots in town. Jump In is packed with trampolines, foam pits and energy from the moment you step inside. With over 1,300 reviews, it’s a firm favourite for families. We jumped in (literally) for an hour of active fun and left with tired legs and big smiles. It’s open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays and a little later on Saturdays.

Imagination Children’s Role Play

This one’s a delight for younger children. Set on Princess Way, Imagination is a role play village where kids can pretend to be shopkeepers, doctors or chefs—all while parents relax with a coffee. We visited with friends and their toddlers and it kept them busy for well over an hour. Open daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Watchmoor Nature Reserve

Hidden just off the A331, this nature reserve surprised us with its calm atmosphere and easy walking paths. Meadows, ponds and reeds surround you as soon as you step in. We only walked a portion of the trail but it was enough to feel the shift from town to countryside. Open 24 hours, it’s ideal for a quick wander or a longer, peaceful walk.

Pirates Landing Camberley

Inside The Atrium on Park Street, Pirates Landing is an indoor play space with pirate-themed climbing areas and soft play for little ones. We heard it’s a go-to for families from Lightwater and it was easy to see why. It’s clean, well-run and open most days from around 9:30 am—check for time slots if you’re planning to visit.

Tekels Park

A walk through Tekels Park feels like stepping into a hidden part of Camberley. The meadow and woodland areas are peaceful and open day and night. We ended up there without a plan and it turned out to be one of the most relaxing parts of the trip. There are no crowds—just open paths, trees and birdsong.

Camberley Park

A short walk from the town centre brings you to Camberley Park, which offers just enough space for a breather. There’s a decent play area for kids but we were happy to just take a stroll and enjoy the quiet. It’s open 24 hours, so you can pop by whenever the mood strikes.

Hawley Meadows And Blackwater Park

Easily reachable from Ash, this nature reserve follows the Blackwater River and has wide paths for walking or cycling. We parked nearby and spent some time wandering the edges of the river—it’s perfect if you want greenery without straying too far from town.

Surrey Heath Museum

This small museum on Obelisk Way gives you a quick but thoughtful look at Camberley’s history—from fossils and Roman finds to wartime memories. We learned more than we expected and appreciated the quiet, welcoming vibe. It’s open Tuesday to Saturday, from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm and often recommended by visitors from Woking looking for something off the beaten path.

Crabtree Park

Before heading back to Farnham, we pulled into Crabtree Park for a quick walk. It’s a compact park tucked off Crabtree Road—good for a bit of peace and shade. No playground, no fuss, just a pleasant place to pause.

Taking It Easy In Camberley

Camberley isn’t about big attractions or packed schedules. It’s about balance—a bit of nature, a bit of family fun and a lot of calm in between. You’ll find high street shops and independent cafés around The Atrium and food options range from familiar chains to small spots serving good coffee and cake. Accommodation is mostly practical, though you’ll find a few quiet stays nearby if you’re venturing out.

Whether you’re passing through West End, linking a trip with Badshot Lea or heading home through Frimley, Camberley makes for a day that’s well-paced, interesting and refreshingly low on pressure.
