Groups from Fowey often come here to enjoy the latest exhibitions, and we could see why. It’s a great place to take a break from the usual tourist trail and appreciate some local talent.

Our visit to Cleave Beach was peaceful and relaxing. It’s one of those places where you can truly unwind, away from the crowds. The secluded location made it feel like we had discovered our own little slice of paradise. We loved the quiet atmosphere, and the surrounding cliffs provided a beautiful backdrop. It’s a favourite among groups coming from Lostwithiel, and we could see why. Cleave Beach is the perfect spot if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle.

Whitsand Bay is hands down one of the most scenic places we visited in Cornwall. The cliffs, the golden sands, and the wide-open views make it such a stunning location. We spent hours just walking along the coast, taking in the sea air and enjoying the sense of freedom that comes with being surrounded by nature. It’s easy to see why visitors from Liskeard often make the trip here—it’s an absolute must-see for anyone in the area.

Visit Tregantle Fort

Our visit to Tregantle Fort gave us a glimpse into Cornwall’s rich military history. Even though the fort itself wasn’t open, the surrounding walking trails offered incredible views over the sea. It’s a great spot for history buffs, and we could imagine the importance of this site back in the day. It’s definitely worth the visit if you’re nearby.

Discover Grenville Battery

Grenville Battery was a peaceful place to end our day. There’s not much left of the original structure, but it’s still an interesting spot to visit. We took a leisurely walk around, enjoying the coastal views and the fresh sea air. For those coming from Bude, it’s a great way to experience a bit of Cornwall’s military past while soaking in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
