Unlimited Rental Mileage
Most car rental companies enforce mileage limits that can limit your plans. At SDVH, we choose to give customers complete flexibility. The majority of our cars feature unlimited mileage, save for courier service vehicles.
No matter if you’re travelling locally around Bagshot or embarking on an extended trip, you pay the same rental rate. Make sure to confirm with our helpful customer service staff to confirm your vehicle includes unlimited mileage.
Entire United Kingdom Coverage

Our diverse fleet accommodates individual explorers, families and businesses alike. We additionally offer convenient delivery and collection across the UK mainland. Whether you’re thinking of a brief journey or a lengthy road trip around Britain, let us take care of your travel needs!
European Cover Option
Sometimes, driving across Europe by car is more attractive than flying or boarding a train. Hire a car from us and drive in ease and style across European countries like France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Portugal and many other EU nations.
Our unlimited mileage is available to cars rented for lengthy journeys within the EU. When booking, inform our agent if you plan to travel outside the UK, as a supplementary cost is required. If you plan to travel beyond the EU, please also inform our reservation team ahead of time.
One Way Vehicle Rental
Not every trip ends at the starting point. At times, you could have to travel from point A to B without planning to return to the starting location to drop off the hired car. SDVH’s one-way car rental service makes this possible. Rent a car in a specific UK area and return it at your concluding point. This service makes travel straightforward, eliminating unnecessary rental periods.
Rather than driving all the way back to the initial rental location, you could save money by returning the car to a close-by depot or have our team retrieve it from your last stop. This one-way car hire option, solely available on the UK mainland, comes with an additional charge. Be sure to specify your endpoint and pickup date as you are booking.
Insurance Is Included
None of us can anticipate when accidents may occur, even the most cautious among us. These mishaps might result in damage to the car and the people inside, so it’s always best to be ready. For this reason is why any car rented from SDVH comes with all-inclusive insurance, protecting against minor damages to the hired car and all passengers.
Such insurance is included in the price of car hire, so there are no hidden charges to worry about. For added protection, we give a Collision Damage Waiver, which limits your excess liability for severe car damages. At the time of reservation, our team will surely tell you of the full car hire fee, including insurance options.
Company Own Insurance - 10%
We understand that not every customer requires our extra rental car insurance. If you’re protected by your company’s policy, we don’t believe we should offer additional protection and we think it’s unjust to charge every client similarly. When you already have insurance, we give a 10% discount on all car bookings.
This lets you rent a car from SDVH at reduced rates and still enjoy unlimited mileage. In order to get this business discount, please notify our staff about your company insurance while making your booking.

What To Do In Bagshot
Tucked just off the M3 and within easy reach of the M25, Bagshot balances village charm with easy countryside access. Its modest high street leads quickly to woodland trails and quiet green spaces. It’s a place where you’ll surely stuck up a conversation with some of its 5,500 lively residents. A popular stop for those coming from Frimley or passing through Camberley, it’s well-suited to low-key days outdoors. Spring brings fresh colour to the commons, while autumn makes the surrounding woodland ideal for walking. Expect changeable weather year-round—waterproofs don’t go amiss.
Attractions In Bagshot
Bagshot is shaped by its landscape—low hills, old woodland and the quiet presence of history. Much of what’s worth seeing is found outdoors: forest paths, local viewpoints and nature reserves that feel more remote than they are.
Lightwater Country Park
You’ll hear the ducks before you see the water. This park opens out slowly as you move away from the road—first a stretch of grass, then woodland, then the lake at the centre. We passed a boy learning to ride his bike, a couple eating lunch from their laps and someone fishing in total silence.
Located in Lightwater itself, there’s a café tucked near the car park and plenty of trails if you’re up for a longer wander. Gates close around 11 pm but you’ll likely be gone before then
Earlswood Park
There’s nothing fancy here—no visitor centre, no signage—but that’s part of its appeal. Tucked in a quiet residential patch, it’s just a looped path, some trees and enough stillness for an early morning walk. The sound of traffic fades fast.
Open all hours, though there’s no lighting after dark.
Windlesham Arboretum
It took us a few minutes to realise we were already in it. No signs, no fences—just a few old footbridges and paths curling around ponds and trees. A heron lifted off ahead of us, completely unbothered.
It’s not landscaped or labelled and that’s the best part. You just walk and look and listen. Visit when the weather’s calm.
High Curley Hill Summit
We nearly missed the path up. It’s marked but barely and easy to overlook if you’re chatting. Once you find it, though, the trail winds up through scrub and pine before spitting you out onto a clearing with one of the broadest views in the area.
It’s just grass and sky—and on clear days, rooftops in the far distance. There’s no fencing, so go carefully if it’s windy.
Top Of Trails, Swinley
The Go Ape course and café attract families but just beyond that, the trails fall quiet again. We set out mid-morning and barely saw another soul for an hour. The forest here is open and welcoming, with no pressure to follow a set route.
Always accessible, with waymarkers scattered throughout.
Swinley Forest
If you want a proper walk—or a serious cycle—this is the spot. Trails snake through tall pine plantations and old woodland, ranging from wide gravel tracks to narrow single-track routes. You can loop back in twenty minutes or keep going for hours.
The smell of the trees lingers well after you’ve left.
Windlesham Field Of Remembrance
Cricket on one side, a preschool on the other. This park blends the feel of a village green with something more practical. We stopped for tea at the small café and watched kids playing on the swings while someone walked laps with a pram.
Open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Brentmoor Heath
Just outside Woking, this stretch of heathland feels half-forgotten in the best way. There are paths, yes—but not always where you expect them. Scrub, low pines and birdsong fill the gaps.
No gates, no hours. Just space.
Diamond Ridge Woods
On the way back from Badshot Lea, we took a detour through these quiet woods. It’s a simple cut-through: earthy trails, glimpses of light through the branches and the faint sound of traffic behind it all. Peaceful but not isolated.
Worth bringing wellies after rain.
Surrey Heath Archaeology And Heritage Centre
This tiny museum surprised us. It’s clearly run with care—everything clean, labelled and genuinely interesting. There’s a model of the village, some Roman finds and a few hands-on exhibits.
Check ahead before you go—hours are limited and vary seasonally.
The Trafalgar Way Marker
Easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. It sits modestly in the square, marking the route taken by the post rider who brought news of Trafalgar to London. A small plaque with a big story.
Walk past it once, then go back for a second look.
Black Hill Water Tower
We weren’t planning to stop here but the tower caught our eye as it loomed above the trees. There’s no entry or explanation, just a curious bit of local infrastructure with a certain Cold War feel.
Quiet and oddly atmospheric, especially at dusk.
The Basing Stone
There’s no plaque. No path, really. Just a rumour and a stone near The Maultway that’s been part of local stories for decades. Some say it’s Roman, others say it’s older still. We asked a passing dog walker who pointed vaguely at “over that way, past the ditch.”
We found it eventually—flat, moss-edged, sun-warmed. Maybe it means nothing. Or maybe that’s the point.
Training Bunkers
Old military bunkers hidden under ivy and leaf litter. These are the sort of places kids treat as adventure zones and dog walkers pass daily. If you’re coming in from West End, it’s a short detour off the main walking track.
Go when it’s bright and dry—the entrances are easy to miss.
Cafés, Accommodation And Takeaways
Bagshot has a few solid options if you’re after a meal or a place to stay. The Cricketers Beefeater serves classic pub dishes, while Roka The Square offers Turkish-inspired plates in a cosy setting. For a night’s rest, Pennyhill Park adds a touch of luxury and Premier Inn gives a reliable, budget-friendly base.
If you’re heading back via Ash or passing through West Byfleet, Imperial Hong Kong is handy for a quick, satisfying takeaway.
