Vivary Park is one of Taunton’s most cherished green spaces. Located on Upper High Street, this park is not just a place to relax but also a hub of activities, offering everything from rope walks to tennis courts and even a cricket field. During our visit, we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens, and the kids had a blast on the playground. The park opens early at 7:45 and closes at 16:30, making it a perfect spot for an early morning jog or a leisurely afternoon stroll. It’s not uncommon to see people from Bridgwater spending their afternoons here, taking advantage of the park’s amenities.

We spent a delightful afternoon exploring the gardens, and the café was a lovely spot to relax with a cup of tea.
