For a fun and wholesome experience, we spent the afternoon at Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, where we got to meet some of the most adorable animals. The kids in our group absolutely loved feeding the goats and cuddling the rabbits, while the adults enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It’s right next to the South Devon Railway, so you get to hear the charming whistle of old trains in the background. When we entered THE TIMEHOUSE, we didn’t quite know what to expect—but what a surprise it was! This quirky, artistic museum offered a sensory journey like no other. With each room more eccentric than the last, it’s an immersive experience that truly stimulates the imagination. We had such a good laugh walking through the different themed areas, and it was a hit with our entire group. Though it’s a unique spot in its own right, we didn’t hear of many groups from nearby places like Totnes coming here—perhaps they’re missing out!

We also made a stop at Totnes Museum and Archives, where we delved into the fascinating history of this charming town. From ancient artefacts to intriguing displays about the local area, it’s an informative place for anyone who loves history. Located right in the heart of Totnes, it’s a popular spot for groups from Teignmouth looking to add a bit of culture to their trip. It’s a well-organised museum, and we found the staff super friendly and knowledgeable, making our visit even more enjoyable.

Have Fun at Woodlands Family Theme Park

When it came to thrill-seeking, Woodlands Family Theme Park did not disappoint! We spent an action-packed day there, hopping on rides and exploring the animal areas. There’s something for everyone, from adrenaline junkies to younger kids. It’s the sort of place where you can easily spend a whole day and still not see everything. This attraction is a favourite among groups from Dawlish, and we completely understand why—there’s just so much to do, and the energy of the park is contagious.

Ride the South Devon Railway – Staverton Station

Taking a trip on the South Devon Railway was a highlight for us. The vintage train ride from Totnes to Buckfastleigh was such a nostalgic experience. Finally, we couldn’t leave without visiting Pennywell Farm, and it turned out to be an absolute treat for everyone in our group. From tiny piglets to interactive animal shows, there’s never a dull moment here. We spent hours watching the little ones race around, enjoying every minute of the farm’s friendly atmosphere. This attraction draws groups from all around, including Dartmouth, and it’s easy to see why—there’s no better place for a laid-back, hands-on experience with animals.
