If you’re staying a bit longer, Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park is an excellent choice for group accommodation. I remember one trip where we spent the whole day exploring the park, and by evening, everyone was exhausted but happy. It’s a great place for groups coming from Combe Martin to base themselves while exploring the area.

We were surprised by how much we learned during our visit—there are some really interesting artefacts related to shipwrecks along the North Devon coast. It’s a bit off the beaten track, but definitely worth the short drive from Woolacombe. Many groups from Lynton include this in their itinerary for a quick but enriching stop.

Fun at Funder Island

For a bit of light-hearted fun, we always enjoy stopping by Funder Island. This mini-golf and amusement area is great for families and friends looking to add a little friendly competition to their day. The atmosphere is casual, and it’s a nice break from the beach. Last time we visited, we ended up spending way longer here than expected because everyone was having so much fun. Groups from Bideford often make the short trip to enjoy the relaxed vibe and fun games.
