If you’re travelling from Holsworthy, this attraction is well worth the trip, and many groups from Okehampton make it a part of their visit to the area.

Admire Cookworthy Knapp

We found Cookworthy Knapp—or as locals call it, “The Clump”—to be one of the most iconic yet peaceful spots in Devon. It’s amazing how a small cluster of trees can stand out so much against the landscape. We took a moment to relax and enjoy the scenery, which felt miles away from the hustle and bustle. History lovers in our group were especially excited to visit Launceston Castle. Standing on the ruins and overlooking the beautiful Devon countryside, we could really sense the history surrounding us. The climb to the top was a bit steep, but the views were well worth it. We wrapped up our day with a quiet walk through Whitehall Woods. It was the perfect way to end a busy day of exploring, and the peaceful trails gave everyone in our group a chance to unwind.
