The fact that admission is free made it even better! We loved learning about how the textile industry shaped Trowbridge, and the well-preserved artefacts helped bring the past to life.

Trowbridge Play Park

Trowbridge Play Park was a hit with our kids. Located in St Stephen’s Place, it’s a well-maintained, safe space for children to play and explore. It’s a quick 25-minute drive from Corsham, and we’d highly recommend a visit if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle for a while.

Southwick Country Park

For nature lovers, Southwick Country Park is a must. We spent a sunny afternoon wandering through the park’s open spaces and walking trails. It’s a perfect spot for picnics, and there’s even play equipment for the kids, so everyone had something to enjoy. The park is vast, and it felt like there was plenty of room to explore without bumping into too many people. If you’re coming from Chippenham, it’s just a 30-minute drive, making it an ideal spot for a day of outdoor fun.
