Fossil hunting at Lyme Regis Fossil Beach was a real highlight for us. The Ammonite Pavement is an amazing stretch of coastline, and we had a fantastic time searching for fossils among the rocks. Even if you’re not a fossil enthusiast, the scenery alone is worth the visit. Fossil hunters from Portland are often seen here, taking advantage of the rich fossil beds and the rugged beauty of the area.

Relax At Lyme Regis Beach

A day at Lyme Regis Beach is just what we needed to unwind. With its mix of sand and pebbles, it’s a great place to lay down a towel and relax, but there’s also plenty to explore nearby. We enjoyed walking along Marine Parade, taking in the sights and sounds of the harbour. It’s easy to see why groups from Sherborne often head to this lively beach for a fun day out by the sea.

Experience Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium

We had a lot of fun at Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium, especially when feeding the fish and handling a starfish – definitely a unique experience! This small but charming aquarium is located on The Cobb, adding to the maritime vibe of the place. Families from Stalbridge make the trip here for a day of learning and adventure, and it’s a great addition to any visit to Lyme Regis.
